Ruby dev (Helsinki)

Looking for a senior RoR developer for maintenance and further development of an existing web service who will take responsibility for the full technical care of the product from understanding business requirements and creation/adaptation of the architecture to implementation and deployment to production. The job also includes management of server operations, backups, deploys and general infrastructure. Skills required: - Proven experience in developing web applications using Ruby and Rails - understanding of the internet services architecture and ability to explain what happens on the way from when user types the URL in the browser to application code - Ruby 1.9, Rails 3.2 - JavaScript knowledge, ability to explain what is AJAX and how it works - practical knowledge of MySQL - experience with git (ideally GitHub profile) - familiar with page and fragment caching using memcached - writing tests is a must in this project, please give examples of how you write tests in your Rails applications For more information, email first lastname @igda.fi The position will be in Helsinki.
